Can short drives and city traffic in Pakistan cause battery failure in Suzuki Swift?

I mostly drive short distances in Lahore with a lot of stops and starts. My Swift’s battery died within 8 months. Could frequent short trips and traffic jams be the reason the battery isn’t getting enough charge?

Yes, frequent short-distance driving and stop-start traffic—especially in cities like Lahore, Karachi, o r Islamabad—can lead to premature battery failure. Heres why:

The battery uses power to start the engine but doesn’t get enough time to recharge on short trips.

High use of accessories AC, stereo, headlights in traffic drains power faster.

Pakistani weather especially high heat in summer reduces battery lifespan.

To extend battery life:

Occasionally take your Swift for a longer 20–30 min highway drive.

Turn off accessories when idling for long periods.

Consider a higher capacity battery suited for urban driving conditions.
