DFSK Glory 580 Paint Peeling on Roof and Bonnet – Common Issue in Pakistan?

I have a 2020 DFSK Glory 580 in black color, and recently I’ve noticed paint peeling and sputtering tiny bubbles and rough patches on the roof and bonnet area, especially after the summer heat in Karachi. The surface looks faded and the paint has started flaking in spots. Is this a common issue with DFSK paint quality in Pakistan? Has anyone else faced this problem? Is it due to weak paint o r poor factory coating?

Yes, paint peeling on roof and bonnet is a commonly reported issue with the DFSK Glory 580, especially in hot cities like Karachi, Hyderabad, and Multan.

Here’s what’s likely causing it:

⚠️ Poor UV Protection in Paint: DFSK paint in earlier models 2019–2021 was not well-suited for Pakistani sun exposure. The clear coat breaks down easily under extreme heat.

⚠️ Low-Quality Clear Coat: Factory clear coat application is often thin, leading to peeling and bubbling after a couple of summers.

✅ Solution: You’ll likely need to:

Wet sand and re-clear coat the affected areas.

In severe cases, a full panel respray roof/bonnet is required.

💡 Tip: Use ceramic coating o r quality wax to protect newly painted surfaces.

Many DFSK owners in Karachi and Lahore have had to repaint after 2–3 years, so yes — its sadly common.
