Do poor-quality brake pads wear out faster in Pakistani conditions?

I had my 2020 Suzuki Swift’s brake pads replaced at a local shop in Lahore with aftermarket ones. They lasted only 10,000 km. Are poor-quality o r non-OEM pads a bad idea in Pakistans stop-and-go traffic and high temperatures?

Yes. In Pakistans dusty, hot, and congested driving environments, low-quality brake pads tend to wear quickly and may also damage the rotors.

Risks of Poor-Quality Pads:
Faster wear rate less than 10,000 km lifespan.

Inconsistent braking performance o r longer stopping distance.

Increased rotor wear, leading to more expensive repairs.

Recommendations:
Use OEM o r known aftermarket brands like Advics, Bosch, o r ATE.

Avoid unbranded Chinese o r cheap local pads, even if they seem budget-friendly.

Insist on seeing the packaging and checking manufacturing details when buying pads from local mechanics.
