Does Hyundai Tucson’s 2.0L Engine Consume More Fuel in Hot Pakistani Weather?

My Tucson’s fuel consumption seems higher during summer months in Pakistan when temperatures soar. Is the hot climate causing the engine to consume more fuel? How can I reduce this extra fuel consumption during harsh weather?

High ambient temperatures in Pakistan, especially during summer, can cause the engine to work harder and consume more fuel due to:

Increased use of the air conditioner.

Engine running richer fuel mixtures for cooling.

Thicker engine oil due to heat affecting efficiency.

The Tucson’s fuel management system compensates for heat but some increase in fuel consumption is normal. To reduce this:

Park in shaded areas to keep engine bay cooler.

Maintain regular servicing to ensure efficient cooling and air filters.

Use recommended synthetic engine oils that perform well in hot climates.
