Many Land Rovers suffer from oil / coolant / engine‑component leaks over time gaskets, seals, oil‑pan, cooling system, etc..

In Pakistan’s hot and often dusty climate, engine stress heat + dust — combined with possibly degraded fuel o r cooling — can make engine problems overheating, reduced power, frequent breakdowns more common. Local discussion forums confirm owners experiencing “overheating, knocking, o r sudden power loss.”

Result: long‑term reliability tends to decline unless engine maintenance is rigorous timely oil and coolant changes, inspections, etc.. Also, running on non-ideal fuel o r poor maintenance exacerbates. So ownership costs and risk of breakdown may be significantly higher than with simpler, more robust vehicles.

Conclusion: Engine reliability for Land Rovers in Pakistan is often problematic unless the owner is diligent about maintenance — and even then, environmental stress and fuel/maintenance limitations can cause frequent issues.
