EV indicator in fielder/axio 2015 not turning on like it used to

I own a Toyota Axio and fielder. I bought the fielder recently and facing a problem with it. As the Axio and fielder, both cars come with same engine and dashboard and it might also same in the both cars. I have provided the image. There is an EV indicator light which is used to turn on and engine would turn on while shifting the car to EV mode. But this does not actually happens. I want to know what could be the actual issue? How can I fix this issue?
