How can I identify and fix transmission fluid leaks in my Mercedes-Benz S-Class in Pakistan?

I suspect my Mercedes-Benz S-Class is leaking transmission fluid. What are the best ways to identify the exact source of the leak? Also, given the wear caused by Pakistani roads and weather, what are the usual repair methods o r parts replacements needed to fix these leaks effectively?

To identify and fix transmission fluid leaks in your S-Class:

Check Fluid Level and Color: Low fluid o r dark, burnt-smelling fluid indicates a leak o r problem.

Look for Visible Signs: Transmission fluid is usually red o r amber and slick. Check under the car for puddles o r wet spots.

Inspect Around Common Leak Points: These include the transmission pan, cooler lines, seals, and the torque converter.

Use a UV Dye Test: Some mechanics add a UV dye to the transmission fluid to trace leaks with a UV light.

Fixing the Leak:

Replace worn o r damaged seals and gaskets.

Repair o r replace damaged transmission cooler lines.

Tighten o r replace the transmission pan gasket.

Flush and replace old transmission fluid.

For severe damage, transmission component replacement may be necessary.

Always consult a qualified technician experienced with Mercedes vehicles, especially in Pakistan where specialist knowledge is key due to local conditions.
