Early detection of water pump issues is crucial to avoid engine damage. Look out for these signs:

Coolant Leaks: Puddles of coolant under the car, especially near the front where the water pump is located.

Whining o r Grinding Noise: A failing water pump bearing often produces a high-pitched whining o r grinding sound from the engine bay.

Engine Overheating: Rising engine temperature gauge o r warning lights indicating overheating.

Steam from Engine: Steam o r unusual smells like sweet antifreeze odor coming from under the hood.

Loose o r Worn Belt: The drive belt connected to the water pump may be loose o r damaged, causing poor pump performance.

If you notice any of these symptoms, have the water pump inspected and replaced promptly to prevent severe engine damage.
