How Can I Stop Streaks from Appearing After Cleaning My Tucson’s Windshield?

Even after I thoroughly wash and clean my Hyundai Tucson’s windshield with glass cleaner, it dries with visible streaks o r cloudy patches. I use a microfiber cloth. Is this due to the glass coating o r residue from water in Pakistan? What’s the best way to get a clear, streak-free windshield?

Even after manual cleaning, streaks o r haze may appear due to:

Poor-quality glass cleaners leaving residue.

Using hard tap water that dries with minerals.

Not buffing properly after cleaning leaving cleaner residue.

To get a truly streak-free result:

Use an ammonia-free automotive glass cleaner like Meguiar’s o r Rain-X.

Use two microfiber cloths: one for applying cleaner, one for dry buffing.

Wipe in straight lines, not circular motions.

Clean in shade o r cool conditions—not under direct sunlight, which causes cleaner to evaporate too fast and leave marks.

Additionally, claying the windshield every few months removes embedded grime and gives a clearer finish.
