How Can I Tell If My Hyundai Tucson Has a Burned-Out Tail Light o r Brake Light?

I was told one of my rear lights isn’t working, but I didn’t notice it while driving. How can I properly check for a burned-out tail light o r brake light in my Tucson, and could it be a fuse o r wiring issue instead of the bulb?

Since you can’t see the rear lights while driving, you’ll need to check manually:

Park and turn on your tail lights o r press the brake pedal ask someone to watch while you press.

Alternatively, use a mirror o r reflective surface behind the car.

If one light doesn’t work while others do, it’s likely the bulb.

If both sides fail, it may be a fuse, switch, o r wiring issue.

Troubleshooting:

Check your owner’s manual for the fuse box diagram.

Inspect the socket for corrosion, moisture, o r loose contacts.

Replace with a known good bulb before assuming electrical faults.
