How Can Poor Coolant Quality Cause Radiator Leaks in a Hyundai Tucson in Pakistan?

I’ve heard that using low-quality o r incorrect coolant can damage the radiator. How does poor coolant quality contribute to radiator leaks in my Hyundai Tucson, especially given the hot weather conditions in Pakistan?

Using low-quality o r incorrect coolant is a common issue in Pakistan and can lead to internal corrosion of the radiator. Cheap coolants may lack the necessary anti-corrosion additives, which protect metal parts from rusting. In hot climates like Pakistan’s, coolant degrades faster, especially if its not changed regularly. Over time, corrosion can eat away at the inside of the radiator o r cooling system, causing pinhole leaks. Always use the manufacturer-recommended coolant usually Hyundai’s long-life coolant o r equivalent and flush the system at the intervals suggested in your owner’s manual—typically every 2 to 3 years. If corrosion has already damaged the radiator, replacement is usually necessary.
