How do I know if my Swift’s spark plugs need cleaning o r replacement?

My Swift hasn’t had the spark plugs changed in a while, but it still runs okay. Are there any early signs that they’re getting dirty o r worn out before they cause serious problems?

Even if your car “runs okay,” spark plugs degrade gradually, and their performance declines over time. Some signs of aging o r dirty plugs include:

Decreased throttle response

Increased fuel consumption

Occasional engine knocking o r pinging

Dark o r sooty plug tips when removed

You can remove and visually inspect the plugs:

Black, oily, o r sooty? Time to replace o r clean.

Brownish o r light gray tips = normal wear

In Pakistan, where many drivers delay plug changes, cleaning can work once o r twice, but if the gap is worn o r electrodes are damaged, replacement is better.
