How Do I Know If the Hyundai Tucson’s Mass Air Flow MAF Sensor Is Malfunctioning?

Lately, my Hyundai Tucson is showing poor acceleration and rough idling. Could the MAF sensor be dirty o r faulty due to dust in the air filters? How can I test and clean o r replace it properly in Pakistan?

The MAF sensor measures incoming air volume to adjust fuel injection. In dusty regions of Pakistan, the sensor can get dirty o r clogged, causing:

Poor acceleration.

Engine stalling o r rough idling.

Reduced fuel economy.

Diagnosis and Fix:

Use a diagnostic scanner to check MAF sensor codes e.g., P0100-P0104.

Inspect and clean the sensor carefully with MAF cleaner spray do not use regular cleaners.

Replace the air filter regularly to prevent dust contamination.

Replace the MAF sensor if cleaning doesn’t improve performance.
