How do I prevent rust on the lower body and undercarriage of Suzuki Mehran?

I live in Karachi near the coast, and my Mehran’s body is starting to rust around the wheel wells and underneath. I’ve heard this is common in older models. What’s the best way to prevent rust, and are there any local solutions o r products to protect the car’s underbody?

Rust is a major issue in Mehran due to minimal underbody coating and exposure to moisture, salt, o r mud especially near coastal areas o r rainy regions.
