How does the Suzuki Swift’s ground clearance 160mm affect its ability to handle rough o r bumpy roads?
The Suzuki Swift has a relatively low ground clearance 160mm for a compact hatchback. In Pakistan, where roads can be uneven, this can lead to the vehicle scraping over speed bumps, potholes, o r rough terrains. How does this ground clearance impact ride quality and overall driving comfort, especially for families o r people who frequently drive on poorly maintained roads?

The Swift’s ground clearance 160mm is relatively low compared to other hatchbacks o r SUVs in Pakistan, which makes it vulnerable on rough roads, speed bumps, o r potholes:
Scraping over speed breakers o r deep potholes is common, especially when carrying extra passengers o r luggage.
Poor roads o r unmaintained streets can be problematic, as the low clearance can cause underbody damage o r strains on the suspension system.
However, the Swift is still more comfortable than sedans with even lower clearance.
Solution: Some owners choose to upgrade to larger tyres such as 185/65 R15 o r install rubber spacers for a slight lift, which improves clearance and reduces scraping. However, this might slightly affect the ride comfort.
