Safety varies widely across boarding houses in Pakistan, and unfortunately, many still lack essential security measures. A number of facilities do not have proper CCTV coverage, leaving hallways and entrances unmonitored. Some do not enforce visitor policies, increasing the risk of unauthorized entry. Security guards—if present—may be untrained o r irregular. Personal belongings such as phones, wallets, and laptops are often at risk in shared spaces without secure lockers. Female boarders face added concerns such as inadequate privacy and limited warden presence. Overall, safety challenges persist mostly due to weak management practices and the absence of standardized regulations for boarding facilities.
