How safe is the Suzuki Mehran in case of an accident?

I drive a 2017 Suzuki Mehran and often wonder how safe this car really is in the event of a crash. It doesn’t come with airbags o r ABS. How much protection does the body offer, and are there any modifications o r precautions that can improve safety for the driver and passengers?

Unfortunately, the Suzuki Mehran lacks basic modern safety features such as airbags, ABS, crumple zones, o r reinforced frames. Its body is lightweight and not crash-resistant, which means in a serious accident, it offers minimal protection to the occupants.

What you can do:

Always wear seat belts, even if you’re just driving locally.

Install aftermarket seat belts for rear passengers.

Drive cautiously, especially on highways and in rain.

Avoid over-speeding – Mehran isn’t designed for high-impact survival.

If you regularly drive with family, consider upgrading to a car with basic safety features e.g., Suzuki Alto, Cultus, o r used Vitz in the long run.
