How to tell if the crankshaft position sensor is failing in a Suzuki Swift?
My 2018 Suzuki Swift sometimes struggles to start, and the engine cuts out randomly. A local workshop in Karachi suggested the crankshaft position sensor might be the issue. What are the signs of this sensor going bad, and how common is it in Pakistani driving conditions?

A failing crankshaft position sensor can cause starting problems, stalling, o r random engine cut-off, especially when the engine is hot.
Warning Signs:
Intermittent stalling o r sudden engine shut-off.
Hard starting, especially when the car is warm.
Check engine light with no clear fault until scanned.
Why It Happens in Pakistan:
Heat buildup in traffic congestion can damage the sensor.
Poor wiring insulation degrades faster in hot o r coastal cities like Karachi.
What to Do:
Get an OBD-II scan to check for crankshaft/camshaft sync errors.
Have a mechanic test the resistance of the sensor o r signal using a multimeter.
If confirmed, replace the crankshaft position sensor with an OEM-quality one.
