Is dirty cabin air filter the reason my Swift’s AC isnt cooling well?

Is dirty cabin air filter the reason my Swift’s AC isnt cooling well?

The airflow from the vents in my 2016 Swift feels weak and the AC isn’t cooling properly. Someone mentioned the cabin air filter might be choked. How do I check and replace it, and does it really affect AC performance this much?

Yes, a dirty o r clogged cabin air filter can severely reduce cooling. It restricts airflow through the vents, making the AC feel weak o r ineffective. In dusty environments like Pakistan, this filter can clog every 6–12 months.

Symptoms include:

Weak airflow from vents

Dusty o r musty smell

Uneven cooling across vents

You can find the cabin filter behind the glovebox in most Swift models. It’s easy to change yourself—just unclip the glovebox, remove the old filter, and insert a new one. Replacing this costs around Rs. 500–1000 and can dramatically improve AC performance.
