Is driving on CNG affecting engine oil consumption in my Mehran?

I mostly drive my Suzuki Mehran on CNG, and I feel like the engine oil runs out quicker than it used to. Does running on CNG affect oil usage o r engine wear? Should I use a different oil o r change intervals?

Yes, CNG use can increase engine oil consumption over time because:

CNG burns hotter and drier than petrol, causing faster valve and ring wear.

CNG engines can cause oil to oxidize faster and lose its protective qualities.
To manage this:

Use CNG-compatible engine oil some are labeled for CNG use.

Change oil more frequently — every 3,000–4,000 km instead of 5,000+.

Monitor oil levels regularly and top up if needed.
