Is it normal for the battery warning light to flicker while driving my Swift in city traffic?

On my 2012 Suzuki Swift, the battery light occasionally flickers during low-speed driving o r when stuck in traffic jams in Lahore. Does this mean the alternator is failing, o r could it be something else like loose wiring?

No, it’s not normal. A flickering battery warning light often means your alternator is struggling to provide consistent voltage. This can be due to:

Worn-out alternator brushes

Loose alternator connections o r faulty wiring

Weak grounding o r damaged battery cables

Voltage regulator malfunction common in older alternators

This is especially common in stop-and-go traffic in cities like Lahore o r Karachi, where electrical demand AC, fans, lights is high, and the engine is idling more often. Its best to get the alternator and electrical system inspected before the alternator fails completely.
