Is it normal for the steering wheel in my Swift to vibrate at high speeds?

When I drive my 2014 Swift above 90–100 km/h, the steering wheel vibrates slightly. The tires seem okay. What could be causing this shaking — wheel balance o r a steering system issue?

No, vibration in the steering wheel at speeds above 90–100 km/h is not normal. It’s often due to wheel o r tire issues, though steering o r suspension components may also contribute.

Likely causes:

Unbalanced wheels most common

Bent rims from potholes o r curbs

Worn-out tires o r tire separation

Loose o r damaged tie rods o r control arms

Worn steering rack bushings

Start by getting a wheel balancing and inspection. If that doesn’t fix it, check the steering and suspension joints. Vibration not only affects comfort but also long-term component wear.
