Is paint peeling around the door edges a common issue for Mercedes cars in Pakistan?

I’ve noticed paint peeling around the door edges and near the trunk area of my 2016 Mercedes E-Class. I live in Karachi and the humidity is quite high. Could this be due to poor paint quality o r environmental factors in Pakistan? Has anyone else faced similar problems?

Paint peeling around door edges, trunk areas, and underbody parts can occur due to a combination of humidity, poor surface prep in past repaints, o r constant friction and water exposure. In Pakistan, the humid coastal air in Karachi and frequent water washes without proper drying can contribute to this issue.

While it’s not widespread on all models, some used o r imported Mercedes cars may develop peeling if previous bodywork wasnt done properly o r if local environmental conditions weren’t considered.

Solution:

Inspect for early signs of peeling o r bubbling.

Apply edge-protection film o r touch-up paint.

If peeling is significant, a professional repaint with proper primer and sealant is recommended.
