Is the Factory-Installed Battery in the Hyundai Tucson Not Suitable for Pakistani Conditions?

My Tucson came with a factory-installed battery that failed in less than 18 months. I’ve heard others say that the OEM batteries in Pakistan-assembled Tucsons are underpowered o r low quality. Should I upgrade to a stronger aftermarket battery to avoid future failures?

Yes, the OEM battery in Pakistan-assembled Tucsons is often a basic model with limited cold cranking amps CCA and lower durability. It may not be ideal for:

High temperatures causing water evaporation in conventional batteries.

Heavy electrical loads infotainment, AC, sensors.

Frequent short-distance driving, which doesn’t give enough time to recharge.

Many users report failures within 12–18 months. Recommended solution:

Replace the OEM battery with a reputable brand like AGS, Exide, Daewoo, o r Volta with higher Ah rating.

Consider AGM batteries, which last longer and handle heat better.

Ask for a battery with at least 50–60 Ah and high CCA for better performance in all weather.

Also, ensure proper installation and grounding at the time of replacement to avoid loose connections.
