Is Weak Cooling in My Tucson a Common Issue During Pakistani Summers?

In extremely hot weather like over 40°C, the AC in my Tucson struggles to cool the cabin properly. I have to set it to the lowest temperature and full fan speed, but it still takes too long. Is this normal behavior in Pakistan’s climate, o r is something wrong with the AC system?

Yes, many Tucson owners in Pakistan’s hot cities Karachi, Lahore, Multan report that the AC struggles in extreme heat. This happens because:

The AC system is designed for milder climates, and struggles above 40°C.

The condenser gets heat-soaked and cannot dissipate enough heat.

The cabin is too hot at start-up, especially if the car is parked in the sun.

To improve cooling:

Park in shade o r use sunshades.

Run the AC on recirculation mode not fresh air to cool faster.

Tint windows legally to reduce heat buildup.

Ensure the radiator and condenser are cleaned regularly to allow better airflow.

If performance is still poor, it may point to a weak compressor o r low refrigerant level.
