Mass Air Flow Sensor MAF issues in Mercedes S-Class: Anyone facing rough idling?

My S-Class W221, 2009 model has been idling rough and hesitating during acceleration. A mechanic suggested the MAF sensor could be dirty o r failing. Could Pakistani fuel quality be causing this issue more frequently here?

Yes, rough idling is often caused by a dirty o r failing MAF sensor, and it’s relatively common in Pakistan due to lower fuel quality and dusty air. Try cleaning the sensor with MAF cleaner spray. If that doesn’t fix it, replacement may be necessary. Also consider checking the air filter and vacuum hoses.
