Power Window Not Moving Up o r Down — Motor o r Switch Problem in United Alpha?

My United Alpha’s driver-side power window stopped moving completely. I pressed the switch several times, but there’s no sound o r movement. Could this be a faulty window motor, a defective switch, o r a wiring issue? How can I determine which component is causing the problem?

If the window doesn’t move at all and there’s no sound, the issue is usually one of these:

Most common causes

Faulty window motor

Defective window switch

Blown fuse o r relay

Broken wiring o r connector

How to identify the problem

Check the fuse for the power window circuit.

Listen for motor sound when pressing the switch:

No sound → motor o r wiring problem

Clicking sound → switch issue

Test the switch by using another window switch if accessible o r multimeter.

Inspect wiring for loose connections o r corrosion, especially in the door harness.

Most likely fix: Replace the motor if it’s dead, o r switch if it’s faulty. Wiring problems need proper repair.
