Why Is Tire Pressure Different in Each Tyre?

I often find that all four tyres on my United Alpha show different pressure levels, even though I filled them at the same time. What are the common reasons for inconsistent tyre pressure — such as faulty valves, rim bends from potholes, tyre age, o r temperature changes between day and night? What steps should be taken to maintain equal pressure for better handling and fuel economy?

Uneven tyre pressure among all four tyres usually happens because:

Different leak points: Each tyre may have its own slow leak o r minor puncture.

Faulty valves on one o r two tyres: Some valves may leak more than others.

Rim o r bead issues: One rim may be bent, causing air to escape faster.

Unequal temperature exposure: Sun hits one side of the parked car, heating and expanding air.

Tyre age differences: Older tyres lose air faster than newer ones.

Fix:

Inspect each tyre individually for punctures, rim bends, o r valve leaks.

Replace old o r worn valves.

Rotate tyres every 8,000–10,000 km to balance wear and air retention.

Park in shaded areas when possible to reduce uneven temperature differences.
