Why Do My Tyres Feel Over-Inflated Even at Normal Pressure?

Why Do My Tyres Feel Over-Inflated Even at Normal Pressure?

Sometimes the tyres on my United Alpha feel unusually hard o r bouncy, even when the pressure seems within the recommended range. Could this be due to inaccurate gauges at petrol pumps, heat expansion during long drives, o r uneven load distribution? How can drivers in Pakistan correctly measure tyre pressure and avoid accidental over-inflation?

Tyres may feel too hard o r bouncy due to:

Inaccurate petrol-pump gauges: Many pumps in Pakistan display incorrect readings often higher.

Heat expansion: Warm weather o r long drives increase tyre pressure by 2–4 PSI.

Uneven load distribution: Heavy passengers o r items on one side cause uneven tyre feel.

Low-quality o r old tyres: Older rubber hardens, making tyres feel overly stiff.

Fix:

Always check pressure with a personal digital tyre gauge for accuracy.

Measure pressure when tyres are cold before driving.

Set pressure according to the United Alpha’s manual typically around 30–32 PSI.

Avoid long drives immediately after filling air because heat may distort readings.
