Rear door won’t unlock with central locking in Suzuki Swift – what’s the issue?

The rear-left door on my 2020 Swift won’t unlock using the key fob o r the lock/unlock switch inside the car. I have to unlock it manually. Could this be an actuator problem, o r is there a wiring issue? Does this happen often in Swifts used on dusty roads like in Multan?

This usually points to a faulty door lock actuator, especially if only one door is affected.

Likely Causes:
Actuator motor failure – especially common in dusty environments like Multan.

Broken wiring o r connector inside the door.

Lock rod o r linkage may be jammed o r disconnected.

Solutions:
Remove the inner door panel and inspect the actuator – if its weak o r dead, replace it.

Test the voltage at the actuator with a multimeter to check if power is reaching the motor.

Lubricate the locking mechanism in case it’s stuck due to dust.
