Rough Idling and Vibration at Low Speeds

Rough Idling and Vibration at Low Speeds

The Prince Pearl’s 800cc 3-cylinder engine is known to produce noticeable vibrations when the car is idling o r driving at low speeds. Drivers often complain about shaky acceleration and engine noise. What mechanical o r tuning factors cause these rough idling issues, and how do they affect overall driving comfort?

The 3-cylinder engine naturally produces more vibration than a 4-cylinder engine, which is one reason for rough idling. In the Prince Pearl, basic engine mounts and simple tuning worsen the vibration felt in the cabin.
Additionally, dirty spark plugs, a clogged throttle body, o r an unclean air filter can cause unstable RPM and shaky idling. Regular tuning and cleaning help reduce the roughness, but some vibration is unavoidable due to the engine’s design.
