Scratch Marks Easily Visible on Hyundai Tucson – Any Solution

Even minor contact with tree branches o r plastic bags leaves light scratches on my Tucson’s surface. I drive carefully and regularly wash the vehicle, but the body still picks up swirl marks and surface scratches. Is the Tucsons paint too soft o r is it just normal wear and tear?

This is a very common complaint. The paint on Hyundai Tucson especially the darker colors like black, grey, o r blue tends to show swirl marks, micro-scratches, and hairline abrasions more visibly.

Reasons include:

Soft clear coat finish used in many modern vehicles, especially in Pakistani conditions.

Dry wiping, using low-quality cloths, o r going to automatic car washes with abrasive brushes.

Tree sap, dust, and sand acting as abrasives during cleaning.

Solutions:

Use premium microfiber cloths and proper washing techniques.

Avoid dry wiping.

Consider ceramic coating o r PPF for long-term paint protection.
