Toyota Experts - engine change?

I have this 2E engine in my Corolla. 1.3l and 252000 km done with us (first owners) since 1997. now i think is high time something should be done about it.

Options include:

1. Overhaul

2. Change to a 'new' 1.3l (second hand of course)

3. Upgrade to 1.6l

Please keep in mind it ss Japanese engines m talking about. I personally want the third option. i want to know the cost, place and time involved in both. also, will mine has some monetary worth even? keep in mind i am not open to body altering. someone said since it'll be 16 Valve Efi the current cng set up will also need an advancer and emulator. Citys are also Efi but don't need such.

Secondly, vot about switching to automatic since my daily mileage is a lot and i really long to drive one?

Vot is the best possible solution?

If You Don't Need Alter And Still Need Good Engine Then You Can Have 4EFE Swapped Inn...1331CC Twin Cam 16v Fits Bolt-on Place Of 2E.....!!

If Changing Mount Is No Issue Which Is In Real Is Not...SO You Can Get 5AFE Or 4AFE Too .....!!Automatic Is Also A Good Thing To Go But If Car Is Orignally Manual So You Need Auto Shifter In Order To Do So....!!

To Me Swapping 4EFE Or Swapping 4AFE Are Best Options.....Much More Better Than OLD 2E....!!

They Are For Sure Efi And You Need Emulator For Them And EFi Things..Advancer Is Not Needy In These Engines..As These Have Mechanical Distributors......
