What are the effects of a faulty ignition coil on fuel efficiency in Hyundai Tucson?

I’ve noticed my Tucson’s fuel efficiency has ped recently. Could a faulty ignition coil be causing this? How does a failing ignition coil impact the fuel consumption of Hyundai Tucson cars in Pakistan?

A faulty ignition coil leads to incomplete combustion due to weak o r missing sparks in one o r more cylinders. This causes:

Increased fuel consumption as unburned fuel is wasted

Rough engine operation requiring more fuel to maintain power

Possible damage to oxygen sensors and catalytic converter which further reduce fuel efficiency

In Pakistan, where fuel prices are high, inefficient combustion caused by bad coils can significantly increase running costs. Timely replacement helps maintain optimal fuel economy.
