What are the signs of a clogged fuel filter in a Suzuki Mehran?

My Mehran jerks and stalls sometimes, especially when I accelerate. Could a blocked fuel filter be the reason? How do I confirm and fix it?

A clogged fuel filter can cause several performance issues in Mehran, especially with Pakistan’s inconsistent fuel quality. Common signs include:

Jerking o r hesitation while accelerating.

Reduced engine power, especially on inclines o r at high speeds.

Hard starting o r engine cranking but not starting.

Frequent engine stalls.

Fuel filters in Mehran especially in older carburetor models can get blocked due to dirty petrol o r rust particles from the tank. It’s recommended to replace the fuel filter every 15,000–20,000 km, and even earlier if you buy fuel from questionable stations.
