What Are the Signs of a Slow Radiator Leak in a Hyundai Tucson Before It Causes Overheating?

My Hyundai Tucson sometimes seems to run hotter than usual, but I haven’t seen any obvious coolant puddles. Could a slow radiator leak be the reason? What are the early warning signs of radiator leaks to watch for in Pakistan’s climate?

A slow radiator leak can be tricky to spot, but early signs include:

A gradual in coolant level in the reservoir.

A slightly sweet smell near the front of the vehicle.

White residue o r dry coolant stains around the radiator seams o r hose connections.

Engine running slightly hotter than normal, especially in traffic o r uphill driving.

Occasional steam o r moisture near the radiator cap.

In Pakistan’s hot climate, even a slow leak can quickly lead to overheating. To prevent this, regularly check coolant levels and visually inspect the radiator area. If you suspect a leak, pressure testing the cooling system at a workshop will help locate it.
