What are the signs of a weak o r dying battery in a Suzuki Swift before it goes completely dead?

I drive a 2016 Swift and want to avoid getting stranded. Are there any early warning signs that the battery is about to die, like slow cranking o r dashboard lights? How can I test the battery at home?
