What causes frequent ABS sensor failures in Mercedes S-Class on Pakistani roads?

Im noticing the ABS light comes on and off randomly in my S-Class W221. My mechanic suspects the wheel speed sensor might be failing, possibly due to poor road conditions. Are ABS sensor issues common in Pakistan, and should I replace all of them o r just the faulty one?

ABS wheel speed sensors are sensitive to dirt, mud, and damage — all common on poorly maintained Pakistani roads. If youre experiencing intermittent ABS faults, have your mechanic clean the sensors first. If the issue continues, replace the faulty sensor. Regular underbody washing helps prevent buildup that can cause false readings.
