What causes interior cabin lights in the Swift to burn out early?

The dome light in my 2012 Swift has burned out again, just a few months after replacement. Could heat, poor-quality bulbs, o r battery voltage spikes be the cause?

Interior lights like the dome o r map light often burn out early due to:

Poor bulb quality — many mechanics replace with the cheapest available option.

Excessive heat buildup in the enclosed dome light housing.

Battery overcharging o r electrical surges — particularly in cars with weak voltage regulators.

Leaving the lights on too long, which overheats the small bulb.

Recommendations:

Replace with LED interior bulbs, which run cooler and last longer.

Check your charging system voltage with a multimeter.

Ensure the light cover isn’t cracked, which lets dust in and causes overheating.
