What causes jerky o r delayed gear shifts in Suzuki Swift automatic variants?

Some automatic CVT o r AGS Swift models in Pakistan show signs of jerky o r delayed gear shifts, particularly in stop-and-go traffic. Is this a transmission design flaw, software issue, o r a sign of poor maintenance?

This issue is especially seen in CVT and AGS transmission Swifts. Common reasons include:

Low o r dirty transmission fluid: Causes poor lubrication and delayed response.

ECU/software calibration issues: Sometimes a software update is needed.

Worn clutch plates AGS: Jerks o r delays while shifting gears.

Driving style: Sudden acceleration can confuse gear logic in AGS/CVT systems.
Fix: Check transmission oil change if needed, get a software scan/update, and drive gently to allow smooth gear transitions.
