What causes jerky o r delayed gear shifts in Suzuki Swift automatic variants?

Some automatic CVT o r AGS Swift models in Pakistan show signs of jerky o r delayed gear shifts, particularly in stop-and-go traffic. Is this a transmission design flaw, software issue, o r a sign of poor maintenance?

This issue is especially seen in CVT and AGS transmission Swifts. Common reasons include:
