What causes my Suzuki Swift to have delayed o r harsh shifting in automatic transmission?
I’ve noticed that my Suzuki Swift with automatic transmission is experiencing delayed o r harsh shifting, especially when moving from a stop o r during acceleration. The shifts feel rough and uncomfortably delayed. Could this be due to a transmission failure, and what parts o r components should I check?

Delayed o r harsh shifting in automatic transmissions is a sign that the transmission is struggling to shift gears smoothly, often due to issues with the fluid, internal components, o r the control system.
Common Causes:
Low o r Contaminated Transmission Fluid: Fluid that is low o r contaminated with dirt o r debris can cause delayed o r harsh shifting.
Faulty Transmission Control Module TCM: The TCM may be malfunctioning, causing improper shift timing o r harsh engagements.
Worn Clutch Packs o r Bands: In automatic transmissions, clutch packs and bands engage the gears. If they wear out, it can result in rough o r delayed shifts.
Sticking Solenoids: Transmission solenoids control fluid flow. If they stick, the transmission may fail to shift smoothly.
Torque Converter Issues: A faulty torque converter can cause hard shifting as it fails to properly transmit power from the engine to the transmission.
Fixes:
Check the transmission fluid and replace it if it is low o r dirty.
Scan the TCM for faults and recalibrate o r replace it if necessary.
Inspect and replace worn clutch packs o r bands in the transmission.
If the solenoids are faulty, they need to be replaced o r cleaned.
Inspect the torque converter and replace it if it’s causing harsh shifting.
