What causes transmission fluid leaks around the gasket o r seal of the transmission pan in Suzuki Swift?
I noticed that the transmission fluid levels in my Suzuki Swift have been ping, and there seems to be fluid leakage around the transmission pan. Could this be due to a worn-out gasket o r seal? What are the signs of a failed transmission pan seal, and how do I replace it?

The transmission pan gasket seals the transmission pan to the transmission housing. If this seal wears out o r becomes damaged, it can result in fluid leaks.
Common Causes:
Worn o r Hardened Gasket: Over time, the rubber o r cork gasket material can dry out, crack, o r become hardened, losing its ability to form a tight seal.
Improper Installation: If the gasket wasn’t installed properly o r was damaged during installation, it can allow transmission fluid to leak.
Over-tightened Bolts: If the transmission pan bolts are overtightened, it can deform the gasket, causing it to lose its sealing ability and result in leaks.
Fluid Overload: If the transmission fluid level is overfilled, the excess fluid can push past the gasket.
Fixes:
Replace the transmission pan gasket with a new one if it’s found to be cracked o r worn.
Tighten the pan bolts evenly and to the manufacturer’s recommended torque specification to prevent overtightening.
Check the transmission fluid level and make sure it is within the proper range. If it’s too high, drain the excess fluid.
Inspect the surface of the transmission pan and housing for any signs of damage o r warping. If damaged, the pan may need to be replaced.
