What causes transmission fluid to leak near the front of my Suzuki Mehran’s engine?

There’s a noticeable fluid leak near the front section of my Mehran’s engine bay. Could this be from the transmission? If so, what components in that area typically leak transmission fluid in Mehran cars?

If you’re noticing a leak near the front-left section of the engine bay, it may be transmission fluid leaking from the input shaft seal o r gearbox housing.

⚠️ Causes:
Front input shaft seal failure especially in older cars

Overfilled o r overheated gearbox causing pressure buildup

Worn-out clutch slave cylinder in some cases, it leaks fluid that may be mistaken for transmission oil

🔧 What to Do:
Ask a mechanic to check the input shaft seal and bell housing area.

If the clutch was recently replaced, the seal may have been disturbed.

Replacing an input shaft seal can cost around Rs. 1,500–3,000 with labor.
