Why Are My Hyundai Tucson’s Spark Plugs Fouling Quickly in Pakistan’s Climate?
I’ve noticed that the spark plugs in my Hyundai Tucson get fouled o r dirty much faster than expected. Could the high humidity o r fuel quality in Pakistan be causing this? How can I prevent spark plug fouling in local conditions?

Spark plug fouling means the plugs get coated with carbon, oil, o r other deposits that interfere with their ability to ignite the fuel-air mixture. In Pakistan, factors like high humidity, dust, and lower fuel quality can accelerate fouling. High humidity can cause incomplete combustion, leaving more carbon deposits. Dusty environments mean more particulates can enter the engine and settle on plugs. Additionally, fuel with impurities o r additives common in some local stations can leave residue on spark plugs. To prevent fouling, use good quality fuel from reputable stations, replace air filters regularly to keep dust out, and consider spark plugs with a heat range suitable for your climate often hotter plugs for dusty/humid areas. Regular inspection and timely replacement every 30,000-40,000 km or earlier if fouling is severe help maintain performance.
