Why Are My Tyres Wearing Faster on One Side?

I’ve noticed that on my United Alpha, one side of the tyre tread inner o r outer edge is wearing down much faster than the other. What could be causing this uneven side‑edge wear? Could it be bad wheel alignment camber o r toe, worn suspension parts, o r even repeated hits on potholes — especially on Pakistani roads? How should I check and fix the issue before replacing the tyre?

If one side of the tyre tread wears faster than the other, the most common causes are:

Wheel alignment issues: Camber o r toe misalignment can cause the tyre to lean o r scrub on one edge.

Worn suspension components: Bushings, ball joints, o r tie rods can cause uneven pressure distribution.

Frequent potholes o r rough roads: Hitting bumps repeatedly can gradually misalign wheels.

Fix:

Get a full wheel alignment at a trusted workshop.

Inspect and replace any worn suspension parts.

Rotate tyres every 8,000–10,000 km to even out wear.
