Why do minor scratches on my Suzuki Swift appear very visible even from a distance?

Even small scratches on my Suzuki Swift look very prominent, especially on darker paint colors like black o r maroon. Is this due to the type of paint o r clear coat Suzuki uses, and how can I make these scratches less noticeable without repainting the panel?

On darker paint colors like black, red, o r deep maroon, even fine scratches become highly visible due to the contrast between the paint and the scratch mark which often reflects white. Also, Suzuki Swifts clear coat is relatively thin, making scratches appear more dramatic.

Causes:

Thin o r soft clear coat application.

Dark paint colors highlight scratches more.

Improper washing o r use of dry cloths/dusters.

Fixes:

Use a scratch remover compound o r polishing glaze to reduce appearance.

Clay bar treatment followed by wax can also help.

If scratches are deep, consider professional polishing o r panel respraying.
