Why do my Swift’s indicator bulbs work sometimes and go out randomly?

The indicator bulbs on my 2013 Suzuki Swift work fine sometimes, but randomly stop blinking o r dim out. Could this be a loose socket, grounding problem, o r failing bulbs?

This is usually caused by intermittent electrical contact, rather than a bulb failure. In Pakistan’s dusty and humid environments, this is very common.

Likely causes:

Loose bulb socket o r corrosion in the connector.

Weak ground wire connection.

Faulty flasher relay o r combination switch in older Swifts.

Vibration o r road bumps causing the bulb to momentarily disconnect.

Fix:

Remove the bulb, clean the socket with electrical contact cleaner, and reseat it firmly.

If the problem persists, have a mechanic check the flasher relay o r indicator switch.

Use anti-corrosion spray o r dielectric grease on contacts.
