Why do the brake pads in my Suzuki Swift wear out so quickly in city driving?

I own a 2021 Suzuki Swift and drive mostly in Karachi traffic. I’ve noticed that my front brake pads need replacement every 15,000–20,000 km, which seems too frequent. Is this normal for Pakistani city conditions, o r could something be wrong with my braking system?

Frequent brake pad wear in cities like Karachi, Lahore, o r Islamabad is common due to stop-and-go traffic, constant braking, and short-distance driving.

Likely Reasons:
Heavy city traffic: Continuous braking in congested areas causes pads to wear faster.

Soft compound brake pads: Some pads are made of softer materials that wear out quicker.

Driving habits: Riding the brakes o r sudden stops also reduce brake pad life.

Low-quality aftermarket pads: Local shops may install cheaper, less durable pads.

Recommended Action:
Use OEM o r high-quality branded pads like Bosch, Advics, o r Nissin.

Try to coast more and brake gently in traffic.

Pads lasting 15,000–20,000 km in Pakistani cities is not unusual, but anything below that may suggest poor pad quality o r driving habits.
