Why do the headlight bulbs on my Suzuki Swift burn out frequently?

I’ve had to replace the headlight bulbs in my 2014 Swift multiple times within a year. Is this a wiring issue, o r could it be due to bumpy roads o r voltage spikes in the electrical system?

Frequent headlight bulb burnouts are a very common problem in Pakistan, especially due to:

Voltage fluctuations in the car’s electrical system common if alternator o r battery is weak.

Poor road conditions, which cause vibration and shock, damaging the filament in halogen bulbs.

Overuse of high-beam, which reduces bulb life quickly.

Cheap o r low-quality bulbs sold in local markets that don’t meet durability standards.

Solutions:

Use genuine o r branded bulbs like Osram o r Philips.

Have your alternator output tested should be around 13.8–14.2V.

Avoid touching new bulbs with bare hands — oil residue can shorten their life.

Consider switching to LED headlight bulbs, which last longer and are more vibration-resistant.
