Why does my Khyber stall o r hesitate during acceleration? Could it be the purge valve?

I’ve noticed that when I press the accelerator, especially after the engine has warmed up, the car hesitates o r even stalls for a second. The mechanic said it could be related to the purge control valve. How does a bad valve cause these issues?

Yes, a malfunctioning purge control valve can cause hesitation o r stalling during acceleration. In Khyber, the valve regulates fuel vapors from the charcoal canister into the intake manifold. If its stuck open, excess vapor enters the engine and disrupts the air-fuel mixture.

Result:
The engine receives more fuel vapor than expected.

This leans o r enriches the mixture at the wrong time.

During acceleration, this can cause a delay, hesitation, o r even momentary engine cut-off.

How to check:

Disconnect the vacuum line from the purge valve and block it temporarily to test if performance improves.

If stalling stops, the purge valve is likely stuck open and needs cleaning o r replacement.
